Doubled woven wool blankets have been used for centuries to keep a horse's back cool and comfortable while in the saddle for full days at a time. This blanket is made out of 100% wool yarn. The weave in the blanket adds enough spring to provide shock absorption and fill in where the horse needs it. After a few good rides, this blanket will soften up incredibly while also molding to your horse's back.
Want to add more padding? Take a look at our available pad liners. This is a great option to use on horses who need to build a little more topline. Liners are sewn in at the front, and a few stitches at the back just to hold them in place. This allows the pad to stay flexible & springy!
Doubled wool blankets are (unfolded) 64" by 32". This blanket is the equivalent of a 5/8"-3/4" compressed pad. This pad has chestnut wear leathers on it.
